The Bellevue Indoor Range is currently looking for Range Safety Officers

Bellevue Indoor Range at Wade's Eastside Guns is the Pacific Northwest's premier public indoor range. The pistol range is available to everyone from the first timers to the veteran marksman.

The range offers 16 public lanes at 50', 8 lanes at 75' in the Member's Bay, 8 premium private firing booths, and an open training bay for movement and classes. All firing booths are equipped with lighting and an automatic target retrieval system.

The range is connected to our retail store, Wade's Eastside Guns which offers a full line of rifles, shotguns, handguns, optics, ammo, holsters, and other accessories.



Summary:

The primary duty of a Range Safety Officer is to organize, conduct, and supervise safe shooting and range activities for all shooters.

The Range Safety Officer is responsible for the safety of guests, providing customer service, maintaining the facility and operating the range point-of-sales system.

The Range Safety Officer will have to check-in guests, answer questions, provide rentals, and perform sales in person and over the phone.

No prior firearms training is required. All training will be provided on site.

The Range Safety Officer will ensure that the entire facility and all operations are maintained at the highest standards.

Firearm maintenance, cleaning, stocking, opening/closing tasks in a Tyvek suit, and the performance of other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

-Be over the age of 18
-Have a Washington State ID/DL or out-of-state equivalent
-Have reliable transportation to/from the facility
-Able to pass a pre-employment background check
-Able to perform pre-employment medical exam
-Able to have blood work done every 6-months
-Able to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
-Able to lift over 55lbs
-Able to bend/stoop/kneel/stand/walk for extended periods of time
-Able to wear full body personal protective equipment (Tyvek suit, respirator mask, and gloves)
-Able to fluently speak and write English
-Able to articulate and remain calm under pressure
-Able to contact customers violating safety rules and teach them safe gun handling


Part-Time/Full-time Positions Available:

*Upon completion of training and a 180 hour probationary period, a wage increase will be considered. However, the wage increase is dependent on experience and performance during the probationary period.
